Description
This festive blend was created with the help of Dr. Grace Chang of Natural Medicine of Seattle, who also happens to be married to Shen Zen Tea’s owner, James.
It’s a strategic combination of powerhouse herbs associated with liver-support in herbal medicine, such as dandelion, goji berries (also known as wolfberries), burdock root, rosehips, milk thistle, and blueberries. The liver filters toxins out of the blood; hence the name Goji Detox.
The cooling weather of autumn can be hard on our bodies as we adjust to the changing climate around us. It’s a good time of year to stock up on infusions such as this one, which provides high amounts of antioxidants and helps to reduce inflammation in the body. In addition, the peppermint and spearmint in this blend help to clear sinuses, licorice root works to soothe sore throats, and skullcap calms stressed nervous systems.
However, it would be a shame to limit Goji Detox to occasions when one is feeling under the weather! On the palate, this delicious caffeine-free tisane has sweet buttery notes and a round, broth-like finish.
